Quality Assistant Manager

Job Overview

The Quality Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, & reviewing the effectiveness of quality management systems throughout the department by achieving quality targets; ensuring internal & supplier quality performance comply to defined standard, and conducting continual improvement to level up product quality excellence.

What you will do:

  • Analyze product failures and quality risks using the FMEA approach.

  • Define quality requirements for internal and external processes.

  • Develop quality control plans and Built-in-Quality for internal processes.

  • Participate in vendor sourcing and vendor development activities.

  • Define product warranty standards and quality criteria.

  • Report quality performance of vendors and internal products/processes.

  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the quality system, product compliance, and process implementation.

  • Follow up on feedback and ensure action implementation.

  • Monitor and control product continuous improvement activities, including analysis and effectiveness tracking.

  • Plan and organize quality-related procedures and work instructions.

  • Manage team activities and task deployment.

  • Monitor and control team execution and evaluate team performance based on defined targets.

  • Develop team capability through coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.

  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations on quality performance and team outcomes.

You will fit in this job if you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance or Quality Control leader in a manufacturing environment.

  • Willing to have a full WFO scheme in Bandung.

  • Experience in developing and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001; experience with IATF 16949 is an advantage.

  • Solid understanding of Built-in-Quality concept & implementation.

  • Good knowledge of the quality 7 tools.

  • Familiarity with APQP, Control Plan, D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and measurement systems is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated portfolio or examples of continuous improvement initiatives and structured problem-solving.

  • Strong initiative and self-motivation, with good time management, work ethic, and reliability.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills.
