Job Overview

University Hospital of Martinique is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “DOSCCAR2 - Development Of Scientific and Clinical Research Cooperation in the CARibbean (DOSCCAR2)", under the Programme Interreg Caribbean.

The objective of the Interreg project "DOSCCAR2" is to strengthen health research capacity and foster sustainable scientific collaboration between European Union outermost regions and Caribbean partner countries. Through a multidisciplinary and multilingual partnership, DOSCCAR2 supports the development of a regional research ecosystem by promoting knowledge exchange, capacity building and networking among researchers, healthcare professionals, universities and research institutions. The project focuses on improving research skills, facilitating access to scientific expertise and encouraging collaborative research initiatives addressing common health challenges in the Caribbean.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

  • Supporting the communication and dissemination of project activities and results through digital and multimedia content;

  • Producing news articles, interviews, testimonials and success stories featuring researchers, trainees and project partners;

  • Assisting in the preparation, promotion and reporting of training seminars, workshops and regional dissemination events;

  • Creating visual communication materials, including infographics, posters, short videos and photo reports;

  • Contributing to the development and regular update of the DOSCCAR2 digital platform and communication channels;

  • Promoting capacity-building activities and showcasing the experiences of trainees and mentors across the consortium;

  • Identifying and documenting examples of successful cooperation and good practices emerging from the project;

  • Supporting the dissemination of project outputs to scientific communities, stakeholders, public authorities and the general public;

  • Contributing to communication initiatives that highlight the impact and added value of European Territorial Cooperation in the Caribbean;

  • Developing innovative communication approaches and storytelling initiatives to engage diverse audiences and encourage wider participation in regional research cooperation.


Other information:

Financial support of: 33.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).

Location: Fort-de-France, Martinique, France.

Start and duration: November, for 4 / 6 months.

Languages*: English (C1), French (C1), Spanish (B1).

*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.
