Insurance Authorization Specialist

About the Job:

This position is responsible for reviewing insurance information and processing insurance verification or

authorization responsibilities of all new clients within the expected speed and quality.

What You'll Do:

• This individual is responsible for ensuring that the campaign collects insurance authorization so that they can begin treatment with new clients.
• Communicate with the insurance carriers on a daily basis to collect authorizations. This may require phone time.
• Input new client information and update information in the system
• Will follow a step-by-step guide to submit authorization based on insurance carrier.
• Assess eligibility of new clients and track the progress of a case (ie. Who needs authorization still? Who is pending? Who needs a reassessment?).
• Follow-ups to ensure authorization may be required.
• Will work closely with the Clinical Director
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as requested by the immediate superior.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree with any related field, can be in accounting, business administration (Required)
• At least (1) year relevant experience – (Required)
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills – (Required)
• Able to speak Spanish is a major plus.
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail – (Required)
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and able to think on their feet- (Required)
• Quick learner and not afraid to ask questions. – (Required)
