The Role
Financial Times Live (FT Live) is the conferences and events division of the Financial Times. Our mission is to bring global executive audiences the latest insights and connect them through high-quality, agenda-setting events.
As a Graduate Content Editor, you will support the creation and delivery of compelling event programmes across digital, hybrid and in-person formats. Working closely with internal teams and external parties, you will research key topics, develop content, and help shape engaging experiences for senior global audiences.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a strong interest in global affairs, business and media to develop editorial, research and client management skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write and produce high-quality event programmes across multiple formats
- Identify, invite and confirm speakers, including senior industry leaders and policymakers
- Develop editorial content for sponsorship proposals and sales materials
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of new event concepts
- Collaborate with FT journalists chairing and moderating events
- Work closely with sponsorship, marketing and project management teams to deliver content effectively
- Produce engaging marketing copy for campaigns, including email, print and digital channels
- Support social media content creation before, during and after events
- Assist with speaker liaison and on-the-day editorial delivery, including live content and streaming support
- Contribute to post-event outputs such as summaries, reports and client communications
- Liaise with FT editorial teams to integrate FT.com content and enhance event output
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong research skills - able to quickly understand sophisticated global topics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to accuracy and tone
- Demonstrable curiosity about current affairs, business and global trends
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines
- Confidence engaging with senior collaborators in a professional manner
- Collaborative approach and ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, curious and willing to take initiative
- Comfortable using digital tools (e.g. Google Suite, PowerPoint); familiarity with social media platforms is advantageous
Desirable
- Previous internship or academic experience in media, events, journalism or related fields
- Experience supporting content production or research projects
- Interest in events, conferences or audience engagement
