What you will do as Client Success Manager Germany
As Client Success Manager, you'll join a small but growing German team from day one. You'll work alongside two Key Account Partnership Managers and an Underwriter, with more hires planned throughout 2026 as we scale our German operations.
This is a hands-on support role where you'll be the first point of contact for our German clients. You'll handle incoming calls, emails, and chats from customers who need assistance, have questions about their credit facility, or want to explore additional financing options. In the beginning, you'll also support managing inbound leads and ensuring every client inquiry gets the attention it deserves.Â
Beyond reactive support, you'll proactively maintain and develop relationships with existing SME clients across NRW and surrounding regions. You'll conduct in-depth conversations to understand client goals and current financial situations using our in-house tools and data models, and act as sparring partner for clients facing challenges.
In the initial phase, your work is more exploratory. You will read, learn and adapt existing Dutch processes to fit the German context. You will help refine emails, customer journeys and nurture flows, ensuring everything aligns with German expectations and culture. As the client base grows, the work becomes increasingly structured and scalable.
Your responsibilities
You are the first point of contact for German clients, by phone and email
You manage and develop an existing portfolio of German SME clients
You conduct in-depth conversations about financing needs, platform usage and business goals
You handle and assess credit increase requests up to €1 million using internal data tools
You identify commercial opportunities and conduct upsell and cross-sell conversations where relevant
You collaborate with compliance, risk and legal teams on complex client cases
You translate and adapt existing processes and client communication to the German market
You take ownership of improvement initiatives and turn client feedback into concrete actions
You work daily with tools such as HubSpot, Slack and Notion to manage relationships and processes
Preferred Location
To stay close to our German client base and keep travel to our Dutch HQ smooth, we prefer candidates based in or near Köln, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Essen or The Netherlands.
You'll be based at our HQ in Den Bosch, our central hub from where we serve clients across all markets. Working alongside our Dutch Client Success team, you'll support German clients with approximately 2 days in the office for collaboration and the other days remote flexibility. We'll take care of your travel and accommodation when needed.
