The Procurement Manger is responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring procurement team members and ensuring that materials are properly sourced, suppliers and vendors vetted, and materials delivered on time and in the most cost-effective manner. This role works closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure seamless coordination with project management throughout the project life cycle. This position will be based out of our Manufacturing Facility (2365 192 Street, Surrey BC).

This role works closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure seamless coordination with project management throughout the project life cycle. This position will be based out of our Manufacturing Facility (2365 192 Street, Surrey BC).
A Day In The Life
- Be involved at project kick-off with a detailed understanding of the required materials outlined in the estimate (quantities, vendors, specifications).
- Ensure that all materials meet the required specifications and quality standards before procurement.
- Ensure proper quantities and lead times are respected when ordering materials.
- Work with Project Managers to review, monitor and proactively resolve any scheduling conflicts that may affect the timely procurement of materials.
- Maintain detailed records of material specifications and procurement activities.
- Ensure product samples are collected, itemized, and reviewed and signed off before purchase.
- Vet routing and freight options to ensure on time delivery.
- In collaboration with the MFG QC team, review inspections of incoming materials and address any damages or discrepancies promptly.
- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
- Work within the Project Management and MFG QC teams to resolve any material-related issues.
- Act as a liaison with vendors to ensure they are adhering to quality standards and providing documentation of product quality before shipment.
- Collaborate closely with the drafting department and project management to ensure material specifications align with design requirements.
- Work with project management and Production Control Manager to align material procurement with project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor material levels and coordinate Inventory team for timely replenishment.
- Manage purchase orders, ensure timely delivery and handle any issues that arise with purchase orders.

What We Are Seeking
- 5-10 Years in a Purchasing and/or Materials Management role
- Knowledge and experience in Construction and Building Envelope, preferably in Curtain Wall Glazing and Cladding/Metal Panel fabrication
- Familiarity with Manufacturing/Purchasing/Inventory and ERP systems
- Strong organizational, planning, and people management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline focused environment
- High Energy and positive attitude; leadership by example
- Above average knowledge of Microsoft Applications; CAD experience is an asset
