About You and The Role
We are looking for a Digital Merchandising Manager to own and evolve how products, use cases, and campaigns are surfaced within the Zipline app.
This role will transform in-app merchandising into a strategic growth lever. You will define the merchandising strategy, use data and customer insights to inform prioritization, and ensure that in-app experiences are timely, relevant, and aligned with broader marketing efforts.
You will work cross-functionally with marketing, insights, and product teams to connect performance data, customer behavior, and cultural trends into a clear merchandising roadmap. This role balances strategy with execution and requires someone who is comfortable driving impact in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
- Own the in-app merchandising strategy, including featured placements, collections, promotional moments, and seasonal campaigns.
- Use performance data, customer trends, and purchase behavior to inform merchandising priorities and optimizations.
- Drive initiatives to increase discovery, engagement, average order value, and expanded use cases within the app.
- Develop and manage a merchandising calendar that aligns with product launches, lifecycle campaigns, and broader marketing moments.
- Lead testing and experimentation efforts to continuously improve in-app merchandising performance.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve merchandising tools, workflows, and capabilities over time.
- Establish reporting frameworks and KPIs to measure success and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure in-app experiences reflect Zipline’s evolving product offerings and marketing priorities.
What You'll Bring
- 4–7 years of experience in digital merchandising, ecommerce, growth marketing, or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Proven ability to drive measurable impact on engagement, conversion, or average order value.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and insights teams.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple campaigns and priorities.
- Curiosity about customer behavior, cultural trends, and how merchandising influences discovery and purchasing decisions.
What Else You Need to Know
This role is based at our office in South San Francisco, CA.
The starting cash range for this role is $120,000-150,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
