With 320+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.  

New World has been helping make New Zealanders lives a little bit easier and little bit more wonderful for over 60 years, and today, we have 107 stores in the North Island.

We are looking for two New World Regional Trading Partners, both based in the upper North Island (Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Auckland or Northland). 
 

Te Tūranga – About the role   

As a Regional Trading Partner you’ll be working for Foodstuffs, partnering with our locally owned stores to accelerate sales and trading performance for your region.  Working closely with store owners, you’ll unlock growth opportunities, improve commercial outcomes, and support the delivery of exceptional customer experiences that drive repeat visits and larger baskets.
 
Some of your responsibilities will be to:

·         Own the trading and profitability performance of your region, ensuring stores meet or exceed sales, margin, and profit targets

·         Conduct structured store call cycles with a focus on sales uplift, trading execution, and KPI tracking

·         Deliver meaningful, action orientated store reviews with a focus on newer owner operators and store ownership changes

·         Coach store leaders with emphasis on sales-driving behaviours and support initiatives that increase foot traffic, conversion rates, and basket size

·         Use SAP, customer metrics, insights and other reporting tools to analyse store performance, identify opportunities, and guide performance
 


He kōrero mōu - About you 

To be successful in this role you’ll need a strong understanding of what drives retail performance, be commercially astute, customer-focused, and results-oriented.

You’ll have a knack for driving retail sales and performance through your sound coaching and influencing abilities, and you’ll need strong relationship management skills.

Retail is the perfect mix of art and science. As such you’ll need to be very comfortable using data to analysis performance, to look for opportunity and then tell the story.
 
Your region could have 20-30 stores so the ability to travel and occasionally be away from home overnight is required. The role comes with the relevant tools of trade, such as a vehicle, mobile, and laptop. These are available for reasonable personal use, subject to Foodies policies.
