Te Tūranga – About the role
As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer in our Digital Engineering team, you’ll release software in-time that meets highest quality standards, is easy to deploy, low on memory, starts fast, scales well and never breaks.

To do this, some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Write high quality code that is accompanied by high level of automated testing, performance and health monitoring as well as comprehensive technical documentation
  • Ensure thorough understanding of application portfolio to support optimal technical design decisions
  • Coach and mentor junior and intermediate developers
  • Provide feedback to other team members during design reviews, code reviews and during pairing and swarming activities
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure a correct understanding of business requirements and priorities
  • Ensure correct alignment of implementations to the strategic technological roadmap
  • Perform regular code reviews within and across squads to ensure we own a healthy code base
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure high level of CI/CD automation
  • Perform application analysis, code modifications and functional testing to troubleshoot application production issues

You’re an experienced software engineer who’s passionate about building high-quality, scalable solutions that make a real impact. With a strong technical foundation and a sharp eye for detail, you take pride in delivering clean, maintainable code and designing systems that stand the test of time. You thrive in collaborative environments, love solving complex problems, and bring a mindset of continuous improvement to everything you do.

You’ll also have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a software development related subject, or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in programming in the relevant languages – Javascript, Typescript, React, and React Native
  • Experience delivering software across the full lifecycle and in various settings whether it be enterprise, medium- sized businesses, start-ups or consulting
  • A strong commitment to high-quality engineering standards and practices
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous learning
