Job Overview
- Lead and manage customs operations across multiple sites in Mexico.
- Ensure compliance with IMMEX, USMCA, Annex 24, OEA, and other applicable customs regulations.
- Oversee accurate HTS classification and import/export procedures.
- Manage the reconciliation and duty drawback processes.
- Implement and optimize customs software solutions to support regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with maquila operations teams to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with U.S. corporate management to align customs operations with strategic goals.
- Support and oversee customs audits at both state and federal levels.
- Manage intra-Mexico and LATAM shipments from a customs compliance perspective.
- Lead and mentor a team of customs professionals, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes affecting customs operations.
- Travel within Mexico and to the U.S. as needed.
