Job Overview

The Commercialization Manager serves as the product marketing lead for new product introductions across the Outdoors portfolio, translating product and business strategy into actionable go-to-market plans. This role owns the development and execution of commercialization plans—including positioning, messaging, audience and channel requirements, launch tactics, content, timelines, budgets, and measures of success. Working cross-functionally with Product, Brand, Channel Marketing, Sales, Creative, Operations, and agency partners, the Commercialization Manager ensures launches are strategically grounded, operationally ready, and executed effectively across B2B and B2C channels.

Position Location: This is a hybrid position based in our world-class Deerfield, IL campus, with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The campus offers vibrant, collaborative workspaces, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness, and recreation.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the product marketing lead for assigned new product introductions, working cross-functionally with Product Management, Brand, Channel Marketing, Sales and Operations to translate product strategy into actionable go-to-market plans.
  • Develop and document tiered commercialization plans based on the size of the opportunity, business priorities, target audiences, channel requirements and level of launch support needed.
  • Lead the timely development and delivery of commercialization assets, including sales enablement materials, product literature, catalogs, packaging, digital content, product imagery and renderings, videos, training materials, customer communications and launch presentations.
  • Partner with Project Management and cross-functional teams to establish launch milestones, owners, dependencies and decision points; maintain visibility into commercialization readiness and proactively escalate risks that could affect launch timing, customer readiness or business results.
  • Provide strategic direction and actionable briefs to internal creative teams and external agency partners, ensuring deliverables align with approved product positioning, messaging, brand standards and channel requirements. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate technical product information and obtain files and specifications required for asset development.
  • Partner with the Trade Show team to identify priority product introductions and provide the messaging, imagery, videos, demonstrations and training content needed to support effective launch activation at national shows and customer events.
  • Coordinate packaging and artwork development, when required, from initial messaging and design through cross-functional review and final production approval.
  • Develop launch budget requirements and manage approved commercialization investments to ensure resources are aligned with launch priorities, forecast expectations and business objectives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent commercialization workstreams across brands, product categories and channels, balancing resources and priorities to ensure the highest-impact launches receive the appropriate level of support.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews to assess execution, capture cross-functional feedback and identify opportunities to optimize launch support and improve future commercialization processes.
