What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers through a pivotal stage of growth, elevating skills in architecture, code quality, and systems design
- Partner with product and QA to rearchitect key systems and drive complex initiatives from technical strategy through production readiness
- Establish and enforce engineering standards that raise the bar on reliability, scalability, and craftsmanship
- Stay close to the code through thoughtful reviews, sharp debugging, and leading by example
- Build a team culture where feedback flows freely, growth is intentional, and great work is the norm
Who You Are:
- 5-7+ years of hands-on engineering experience and 2+ years leading engineering teams
- Proven experience architecting, developing, and maintaining complex backend systems using C# across multiple versions of .NET
- Proficient in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting relational data models including stored procedures, indexing strategies, and the nuances of running databases in production
- Comfortable with cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS, and the common components used to host and scale web applications
- Experienced in Agile or Kanban environments where product and engineering collaborate closely
- A coach at heart who leads with credibility because you have been in the trenches
- Bonus: experience with Datadog or New Relic, Bicep or Terraform, or Angular and Node.js
