Job Overview

Job Title: Process Technician / Injection Molding Technician (Direct Hire)
Location: Clinton Township

Shift:

·         Shift: 3 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

·         Mandatory weekends and overtime as needed

  • Pay: $24 - $28/hr to start (depending on experience)

Position Summary:
The Process Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality parts. This position involves mold installation and removal, process adjustments, troubleshooting, and collaboration with maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and product consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Perform mold setups, installations, and removals according to production schedules.

·         Conduct press inspections, power-ups, and material loading using dryers and auxiliary equipment.

·         Make process adjustments to maintain part quality and cycle time targets.

·         Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.

·         Support mold makers with tool troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

·         Monitor process conditions and production performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

·         Participate in trials for new molds, tools, or materials, and assist in implementing process improvements.

·         Identify and help resolve production or quality problems through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

·         Maintain accurate documentation of machine parameters, production runs, and maintenance activities.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements

Physical Demands:

·         Ability to stand for long periods and perform bending, lifting, and squatting.

·         Good hand-eye coordination.

·         Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

·         Operate molding machines using hand and foot controls.

·         Use inspection gauges, hand tools, and related equipment as needed.

Requirements:

·         Prior experience as a Process Technician or Injection Molding Technician in a light manufacturing or automotive setting preferred.
