We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support our finance department by carrying out daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting and administrative duties. This role is essential in ensuring smooth financial operations and timely processing of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices and credit notes
Reconcile supplier statements
Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
Resolve invoice discrepancies and liaise with suppliers
2. Accounts Receivable
Issue customer invoices and credit notes
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
Allocate customer payments and maintain accurate debtor records
3. General Ledger & Banking
Assist with bank reconciliations
Post journal entries as instructed by the Finance Manager
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation
4. Administrative Support
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation
Assist with audits by preparing required documentation
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks
