Senior Project Engineer - Systems Engineer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer with technical leadership skills to play a driving force behind the introduction of new cutting-edge projects. Working in our Land & Joint division in Advanced Vetronics Systems, you will thrive in a collaborative environment and foster strong communication with colleagues to execute on projects and shared goals. Some of your day to day will include:

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of engineers and support personnel during project execution.
• Assume full technical responsibility and accountability for difficult, multi-faceted product development NPI problems.
• Ensure seamless collaboration and communication within the team and across departments.
• Schedule and coordinate design review gates in alignment with the Engineering Development Framework.
• Author or oversee the creation of project deliverable documents, maintaining a commitment to quality and precision.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to review project performance monthly, analyzing risks (technical, cost, schedule), and taking corrective action as needed.
• Support the development and maintenance of engineering project plans and other business plans.
• Interface with support departments, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, and Contracts to ensure smooth project progression.
• Communicate and interface with customers, responding to queries and Request for Quotations, and preparing the Basis of Estimate.
• Proactively identify opportunities for product and process improvements and drive the implementation of necessary changes.
• Track component obsolescence issues and material constraints that may impact future production.
