We are looking for a Co-Op Student to join the System-of-Systems (SoS) Systems Engineering (SE) Team as a Systems Engineering Analysts. As a member of the SoS SE team, you will work on the Canadian Armed Forces’ Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (LC5ISR) program.
The LC5ISR provides the Armed Forces with a highly integrated tactical system comprised of communication systems such as radios and telephony, core networking systems that connect intelligence and surveillance assets, battle management systems that enable streamlined operations, and information management systems that process large amounts and types of data. The SoS SE team plays a key role in defining the architecture and overall design of the LC5ISR “System-of-Systems”.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the customer, the Department of National Defence (DND) to elicit and define operational requirements and desired capabilities.
- Develop activity, sequence, use case, and block definition diagrams to describe mission scenarios and use cases.
- Develop system requirements, interface specifications, and end-to-end information flows.
- Manage the traceability of higher-level requirements to lower-level requirements and to test artifacts.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop Operational and System Views according to DNDAF/DoDAF.
- Support testing activities including verification and validation of requirements, writing test cases, and producing Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
- Present status updates and conduct reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume responsibility for deliverables, work products and ensure you are meeting program commitments and achieving program milestones.
