Maintenance/Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer – Tool Shop, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, molds, and tool shop equipment to support uninterrupted production operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for tooling and tool shop equipment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for molds, tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain standard maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and modifications of production tools and molds.
  • Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure proper maintenance records are maintained and updated.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and support inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with 5S, GMP, quality, and safety standards within the Tool Shop.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives.
