Ruby on Rails Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable features across a production Rails application
• Develop and maintain REST or GraphQL APIs
• Write and review well-tested, maintainable code
• Optimize application performance and database queries
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and other engineering teams

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience working with Ruby on Rails
• Strong command of Ruby and object-oriented design principles
• Solid experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade APIs
• Familiarity with background job processing tools such as Sidekiq
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular or React
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD tooling
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams
