Position Overview:
Our client, a well-established and growing farming company, is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will play a key part in managing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager: 

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience 
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
