What you will do as a Hospice Certified Nurse Aide:
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor patient comfort and report changes in condition to the primary nurse
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Assist with changing linens, maintaining patient living spaces, and organizing supplies
- Set up and maintain medical equipment including hospital beds and wheelchairs
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotations as needed
What we are looking for:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide program with current Virginia CNA licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred (home health, hospice, or long-term care experience preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and emotionally resilient
- Comfort working independently in home and facility settings
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Valid Virginia driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Full-time opportunities available with rotating weekend and holiday on-call responsibilities
Location: Serving patients throughout the Good Samaritan Hospice service area including homes, facilities, and hospitals
Benefits: 21 days PTO in your first year, mileage reimbursement at $.65/mile, company-paid life and long-term disability insurance, medical coverage through an ICHRA model with multiple plan options, and 401(k) with company match (100% on first 3%, 50% on next 1%)
Hourly Rate: Starting at $18/hour
