JOB DESCRIPTION       

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator to join our Warrington site here at Gousto! Reporting into the Health, Safety & Environment Manager you will play an integral role, assisting the HSE manager to provide professional support and guidance and contribute to driving a positive culture of caring.

As Site HSE Coordinator,  your mission is to support the development, implementation and integration of  HSE programs and initiatives, in line with Group + Site  policies, to create a safe and sustainable workplace for our circa 500 colleagues.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead activities to reduce health, safety, security and environmental risk, in line with the Group and Site HSE Business Plans.
  • Help review, develop  and deliver HSE Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Training materials.
  • Ensure the Site‘s HSE policies, procedures and systems are adhered to effectively, to support compliance with all relevant legislation and agreed internal standards.
  • Assist with accident/incident reporting and investigations.
  • Assist with the HSE audit programmes to ensure compliance with all UK legislation and Gousto standards.
  • Be empowered to challenge unsafe behaviours in the correct way, and escalate accordingly.
  • Support the site team in identifying and closing any gaps in HSE standards.
  • Inventory checks of First Aid equipment.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc administrative tasks as required. 

Who You Are:

  • Experience as a Health & Safety Administrator, or Coordinator 
  • Previous experience of working in a Warehouse, FMCG, Fulfilment or Factory environment 
  • Passion, experience and genuine interest in health and safety matters.
  • Experience of, and/or training in writing risk assessments/safe systems of work..
  • Experience or knowledge of workplace transport and associated risks.
  • Relevant professional H&S qualification is desirable, or willingness to work towards. 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Competent in the use of IT systems
