Legal Advisor

Location: Warrington 1 / 2 days a week with monthly travel to our London office for meetings and team collaboration

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time 

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Legal Advisor to be a part of our amazing Legal Team here at Gousto! 

Reporting into our General Counsel, you will be part of a small but mighty team of Legal Advisors. The role will offer exciting depth and breadth of work across commercial contract work! You will work with a variety of teams and senior stakeholders across the entirety of Gousto, therefore this role will suit someone that is ambitious, highly motivated and loves having genuine impact!

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide advice on a wide range of legal issues across the business including but not limited to corporate, data protection, employment and commercial
• Drafting and negotiating contracts as well as a wide range of commercial & corporate terms 
• Work closely with the current legal team to ensure stakeholder and teams are following current ways of working and processes   
• Be the point of contact for external legal counsel and manage associated costs 
• Build relationships with a range of stakeholders across the business including Tech, Operations and Business 
• Work collaboratively with the current legal team to share knowledge on areas that may not be within your main expertise

Who you are: 

• Passionate about working in a high growth, fast paced, Tech driven environment 
• Qualified in England and Wales
• A minimum of 1 / 2 years post qualification experience
• Experience & expertise in either Commercial or Corporate law
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and commercial terms
• Experience resolving basic legal queries 
• Inhouse or secondment experience would be beneficial 
• Ability to translate and summarise complex legal matters into sensible commercial proposals
• Experience of working with a wide variety of Senior stakeholders
• Clear and confident communicator
