We are looking for a resilient and strong Senior Business Analyst who can leverage data and automation to deliver impactful insights, guide strategic decision making, and deliver actionable recommendations that will shape our commercial strategies, improve sales excellence, and drive impact for Grab For Business. To perform this role well, the candidate needs to have strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to create and follow processes, and a track record of exceeding expectations.

 

Get to Know the Role

 

  • This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • You will report to the Senior Manager, Business Analytics.
  • You will be part of the Grab Commercial and Support (GCS) organization and Sales Operations team, and work predominantly with the Grab For Business (GFB) business unit, assisting in building up Grab's B2B SaaS business.
  • You will be a strategic partner for our business stakeholders, and you will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams, such as Sales / Key Accounts, Sales Operations, Planning & Projects, Demand Planning, Commercial Excellence, Regional & Country Finance, FP&A, etc.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Data Pipelines: Lead and own the design, development, and management of data pipelines / data sources that can empower relevant parties to extract data in a seamless manner. This includes understanding multiple upstream data sources, managing extensive datasets, and translating complex data into clear metrics and insights
  • Data Quality Management: Serve as the business data owner and collaborate closely with technical data owners to define and implement business data logic, logically organize data, and progressively improve the quality of data
  • Analysis and Insights: Deliver analyses and design impactful reports for business stakeholders across all Grab markets to drive strategic decision making. This includes understanding business requirements and objectives, defining business metrics (e.g. $ GMV, client retention, client acquisition, etc.), and using Grab's data warehouse and Salesforce CRM to set up the right analyses and reports to generate meaningful insights and recommendations for the commercial & sales teams
  • Strategic Analytics: Leverage data, analytics, and AI tools to size and recommend new growth or revenue opportunities for Grab For Business, and partner closely with the relevant stakeholders to explore these opportunities and go-to-market plans
  • Project Management and Collaboration: Work closely with the Planning & Projects, Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Sales Strategy & Planning, Finance, Analytics teams to drive key initiatives, improve sales operational excellence, and deliver insights and strategic recommendations for the commercial & sales teams.
