Get to Know the Role
- We're looking for a Finance professional who bridges financial analysis with numbers and business strategy.
- Your role sits at the intersection of Controllership and FP&A, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving insights, and allowing smarter decisions across the business.
- You'll be hands-on in maintaining financial integrity while partnering with all departments to shape Grab's financial story - from accounting entries to performance insights.
- You will report into the Head, Finance Controllership, Malaysia and be based in Petaling Jaya, working onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Financial Controllership & Governance
- You will review and front the financial submissions of related entities into Oracle Financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Company accounting policies and controls.
- You will lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reporting requirements per Group Guidelines.
- You will ensure accuracy and proper substantiation of balance sheet reconciliations in partnership with the Shared Services team, including clearing of accounts and provisions in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards/Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.
- You will partner with auditors, internal control, and compliance teams to strengthen governance, controls, and audit readiness.
- You will refine workflows processes to enhance accuracy, improve turnaround time, and use automation for greater efficiency.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- You will build and maintain financial models to forecast business performance, evaluate scenarios, and support planning and budgeting cycles, delivering actionable insights.
- You will coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, financial plans, and forecasts in collaboration with business units.
- You will partner with business teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
- You will ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting business growth.
