Role Overview

We’re looking for a System Engineer – Workplace (Level 2 or 3) to join a large-scale international IT services provider at the forefront of digital transformation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of Workplace systems—ensuring performance, reliability, and security across virtualization and collaboration environments. You’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and end-user teams to deliver a seamless and secure digital workplace experience.

Locations: Île-de-France, Toulouse, Lille, Nantes (Hybrid – up to 50% remote)

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Workplace systems, including virtualization environments and collaboration tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve Level 3 incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.
  • Design and implement new solutions and improvements to existing systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system compatibility and smooth integration.
  • Conduct security audits and performance assessments to ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and end users.

Interview process:

The interview process includes three stages: an HR interview, a technical interview, and a final meeting with the Head of Practice.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer.
  • Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and collaboration environments (Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Familiar with ITIL best practices: incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Fluent in French and professional proficiency in English (B2 / TOEIC ≥ 785).
  • Open to national travel (mostly within Île-de-France).
  • Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or related technologies are a plus.
  • Motivated by learning, certifications, and continuous improvement.
