Meteorology Cadet

The Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) invites applications for the position of Meteorology Cadet. This entry-level role is designed for individuals passionate about weather science, aviation safety, and learning the fundamentals of meteorology. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship while contributing to essential weather reporting tasks, in preparation for further training to acquire the competencies required to become a Meteorology Entry-Level Technician.

Key Responsibilites

• Accompanies the Meteorological Assistant on duty when observations are being made.
• Transmits weather on the COROBOR or EDIS.
• Keeps continuous watch to note and report changes in weather at the station to the Assistant on duty.
• Participates in in-house training.

Requirements

• Five (5) subject passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics.
• A keen interest in weather science, aviation safety, or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communication and analytical skills.

Bonding:

Selected candidates will be required to sign a bond agreement before the start of training, committing to serve with the Authority for a specified period upon successful completion.
