The Student Disability and Accessibility team has an opportunity for an Administrative Officer within our team for an ongoing, full-time position.
You will report directly to the Manager, Student Disability and Accessibility and work with staff across the entire Student Disability and Accessibility team.

The emphasis and key responsibilities include:
- Reception and student contact for Student Disability and Accessibility including responding to general enquiries from students, staff and the wider community regarding Student Disability and Accessibility programs, including booking and altering appointments for Senior Disability Advisors.
- Maintaining administrative systems for Student Disability and Accessibility – purchase orders and budget records; equipment, resource registers, electronic student information files and data bases; organise appointments and meetings; manage calendars, arrange mail outs and the production and distribution of resources; make room bookings and other arrangements for meetings, training sessions and events.
- Providing effective and efficient administrative support for Student Disability and Accessibility.
About you
- Experienced in a busy front‑of‑house or reception area, with the ability to sustain a calm, professional approach to supporting students, staff, and community members.
- Strong customer service skills, able to handle general enquiries with empathy, clarity, and discretion, particularly within disability and accessibility contexts.
- Proven ability to manage appointment bookings, changes, and calendars for multiple stakeholders (e.g., Senior Disability Advisors).
- Skilled in maintaining accurate administrative systems, including purchase orders, budget tracking, equipment/resource registers, and electronic student records.
- Confident using databases and digital filing systems, with high attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Organised and proactive, able to coordinate meetings, room bookings, events, training sessions, and mail‑outs efficiently.
- Comfortable producing and distributing resources and supporting day‑to‑day workflow across a busy student support environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
