Research Assistant Experimental Psychology

As a Research Assistant, Experimental Psychology you will;
- Support laboratory and field based experimental psychology research using physiological equipment
- Assist with data collection, management and preliminary analysis to support publications and reports
- Conduct literature searches, routine scientific testing and simple participant interviews
- Coordinate meetings and engagement with research participants and collaborators
- Uphold research ethics, safety standards and the University’s Code of Conduct through professional, ethical practice
About you
To be successful in the role you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience conducting laboratory or field based research and working with participants
- Skills in data collection, data entry and basic analysis using research software
- Ability to conduct literature searches, interviews and routine scientific testing
- Strong understanding of research ethics, safety procedures and professional conduct
What we can offer
We have two positions available.
- A fixed term (12 months) full time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus.
- A fixed term (12 months) part time (60%) position primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus.
As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Research Assistant Grade 1 range $75,627 - $79,984 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $88,484 - $93,582 per annum.
