About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for leading Griffith’s student load and income projections, annual fee reviews, and enabling effective decision making through the student admissions process. It combines analytical insight with creative problem-solving to influence broadly across the University.

The role provides enterprise-wide strategic leadership, driving integrated planning, continuous improvement and strong governance. It builds team capability while leveraging data-driven analysis to enhance financial performance and institutional decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a specialist team that produces highly accurate, detail driven student load and income projections from large and complex datasets to inform budgeting, admissions and strategic planning.
  • Manage and manipulate enterprise level data to produce time critical analysis during QTAC admissions cycles, ensuring precision, strong governance and on‑time delivery.
  • Build effective relationships across the University to influence student load, admissions and funding processes, clearly communicating complex data insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual program fee review, applying rigorous data analysis and continuous improvement to deliver evidence-based pricing recommendations to tight deadlines.
  • Analyse government policy and funding changes, proactively modelling impacts on student load, revenue and long‑term financial sustainability.
  • Develop long term student load and income forecasts, including scenarios and sensitivities, through sophisticated data modelling and analytical judgement.
  • Combine hands-on, detail-level analysis with sound judgement to interpret complex quantitative and qualitative inputs, resolve ambiguity and provide clear, actionable advice.
  • Communicate complex analysis clearly and concisely through high‑quality written materials, stakeholder engagement and executive‑level briefings, anticipating information needs and managing competing priorities effectively.

About you

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise level strategic thinking, anticipate challenges, analyse complex and ambiguous issues, and deliver sustainable, well considered solutions.
  • Advanced analytical capability, with demonstrated experience in scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and interpreting trends across large, complex datasets to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong technical expertise in managing, manipulating and analysing data to deliver accurate forecasting, high quality reporting and actionable insights.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and timely reports, briefs and submissions based on detailed analysis of complex issues and policy settings.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with senior leaders, colleagues and external stakeholders.

This is full time continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan) Campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Salary Range

HEW 10 Salary - $147,057.74 + 17% super. Full package is $172,057.55.
