Job Overview
- Complete daily pre-use inspections prior to using a crane and other material-handling equipment
- Follow and demonstrate proper rigging procedures and techniques
- Move required material to the designated locations within the yard
- Load joist and deck and other material on the trailers for shipping
- Maintain control of load at all times
- Properly and promptly report maintenance concerns
- Shunt trailers in the yard (as required)
- Advise workplace parties of quality issues/concerns as identified
- Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all times
- Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements and time management in the performance of daily duties
- Comply with all legislated and company’s health, safety, environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
