Mechanical Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Director to lead and grow our mechanical engineering team. This leadership-focused role ensures successful project delivery through strong team management, disciplined execution, and high-quality engineering output.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers
• Assign work, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development
• Conduct performance reviews and develop growth plans
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation

Technical Delivery Oversight

• Oversee engineering deliverables for accuracy and consistency
• Provide technical direction and review final work products
• Support the team in resolving complex technical issues

Project Support

• Collaborate with project managers to support execution
• Attend client and proposal meetings as technical leadership
• Coordinate with other disciplines to maintain project alignment

Quality Assurance & Risk Management

• Manage QA/QC reviews and ensure high quality across projects
• Review calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documents
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience preferred
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work
• Experience managing scope, schedules, and budgets

Compensation and Benefits:
