We’re looking for a motivated and people-focused Health, Safety and Quality Lead to join our Infrastructure and Assets Group. Reporting to the Group Business Performance Unit Manager, you’ll play a key role in embedding health, safety, wellbeing, and quality practices into everyday operations, with a strong focus on water services delivery. This is your chance to make a real impact by ensuring our teams work safely, effectively, and to the highest standards.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with the HCC Corporate Health and Safety team, building strong relationships and aligning operational activities with wider organisational strategies. With two direct reports, you’ll provide ongoing support and guidance, helping shape a proactive safety culture that enhances resilience, wellbeing, and performance across the group.

Please be advised that this role will initially be positioned within Hamilton City Council. As of 1 July 2026, your role will transfer to be positioned within IAWAI – Flowing Waters, a Council Controlled Organisation. You will be kept informed with regular communications before and during the transition.
