Network Performance Analyst

We’re looking for someone who’s curious, analytical, and ready to make a real impact on how our three waters network performs. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead in improving the day‑to‑day operational performance of our water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Your work will help ensure our networks run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably for the community.

In this role, you’ll bring together operational data, review it with a critical eye, and turn it into meaningful insights that help us understand what’s really going on behind the scenes. You’ll dig into root causes, spot trends, and recommend practical improvements that lift the performance of our network operations. While this is primarily an analyst role, it’s not just about sitting behind a desk. You’ll also spend time out in the field, getting hands-on experience and seeing operations up close to ensure your insights are grounded in real-world conditions.

Please be advised that this role will initially be positioned within Hamilton City Council. As of 1 July 2026, your role will transfer to be positioned within IAWAI – Flowing Waters, a Council Controlled Organisation. You will be kept informed with regular communications before and during the transition.
