City Investment Advisor - External Fundraising

As part of the City Investment team, you'll play a key role in identifying and initiating fundraising opportunities to deliver great things for our community.

This role requires someone who can confidently navigate a variety of projects, influence for positive outcomes, and build strong relationships across Council and with external partners. You’ll be comfortable working with imperfect information, adapting to change, and bringing clarity and structure where needed.

Day to day you will:

• Take ownership of the grants lifecycle – planning, applying, managing relationships, and reporting.
• Deliver  strong, persuasive proposals that showcase Hamilton’s priorities and potential.
• Spot and grow funding opportunities year on year.
• Keep systems, processes, and CRM records running smoothly and accurately.
• Provide trusted advice across programmes as needed.
