Hourly Coffee Shop Manger (Keyholder) - North End Market

Position Overview 

We are looking for a thorough and communicative keyholder to help lead our team. You will aid the Assistant Cafe Manager in overseeing daily operations, motivating staff, and driving sales. The ideal candidate is efficient and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering extraordinary guest experiences.  

Key Responsibilities 

1. Operations & Guest Experience 

• Act as the floor leader, ensuring customers are greeted warmly and their orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately. 

• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction. 

• Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all shifts.  

• Handles cash duties and paperwork during opening and/or closing shifts 

• Flexibility to work all positions in the store, including barista, cashier, food expo, and dishwasher 

2. Leads By Example 

• Demonstrates exemplary self-motivation in identifying and acomplishing tasks without constant guidance. 

• Train employees on drink preparation, equipment usage, and company service standards. 

• Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and keep the team organized and motivated. 

• Ensures all staff is following company guidelines. Is comfortable informing management when disciplinary action may be required. 

3. Administrative Duties 

• Is able to assist management in their daily tasks, including: 

• Recording inventory to ensure proper pars are being met throughout the week 

• Is able to make timeclock adjustments to ensure payroll is accurate 

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Experience: 1 year of previous management or supervisory experience in a cafe, restaurant, or retail environment. 

• Skills: Hands-on experience with professional coffee/espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems. Strong leadership, math, and communication skills. 

• Knowledge: Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations. (Food Handler’s Card required) 

• Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. 

• Attitude: Enthusiastic, positive, upbeat, and capable of solving problems on the fly.
