About the role
Heads Up Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to support the testing, validation, and quality assurance of cabin management products. This role is responsible for conducting product testing, documenting results, maintaining testing equipment, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.

- Workdays and Hours: Monday through Friday, Standard Business Hours
- Location: Onsite

What you'll do
Conduct Testing Procedures
- Perform comprehensive testing of cabin management products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Execute testing procedures, including programming, troubleshooting, and acceptance test evaluations.
- Verify product functionality and performance prior to release.
Quality Assurance
- Record and document testing results accurately and completely.
- Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve potential product issues.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to establish and improve testing protocols.
- Analyze testing data, identify deviations from quality standards, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support corrective action efforts to resolve non-conformances.
Instrumentation and Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain, calibrate, and verify testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Troubleshoot testing equipment and work with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and corrective actions.
- Generate reports summarizing testing outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to communicate testing requirements and results.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
Safety Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience soldering electronic components in a manufacturing, assembly, or electronics environment.
- Knowledge of through hole and surface mount soldering techniques.
- Proficiency with testing equipment, soldering equipment, and related tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
