About the role

Heads Up Technologies and STG Inc. are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our Manufacturing team. The Assembler plays a critical role in the assembly of high-quality photoluminescent safety and lighting products used throughout the aviation industry.

Key Details

Our normal working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with an unpaid 30-minute lunch. Employees may work with their supervisor to establish schedule flexibility when business needs allow.

What you'll do

  • Assemble and bond STG photoluminescent products and assemblies according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to verify conformance to quality standards and identify defects or discrepancies.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment, hand tools, and production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly-related issues and improve production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials used, and quality inspections.
  • Support inventory control and material handling activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and production record keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
  • Experience working with adhesives, bonding processes, or precision assembly techniques.
  • Basic soldering experience.
  • Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, electronics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working within aerospace, aviation, or other regulated manufacturing environments
