CNC Shop Assistant

About the role

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail oriented CNC Shop Assistant to join our team. This entry level position is ideal for someone interested in machine tool technology, aerospace technology, or hands on manufacturing work. In this role, you will support the CNC machine shop by helping prepare parts, maintain quality and safety standards, and assist machinists with daily production needs.

Key Details

• Work Days and Hours: Part time, 20 to 24 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates may choose preferred hours within this timeframe.

• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you'll do

Support a variety of hands on tasks to help ensure the smooth operation of the CNC machine shop.

• Deburr parts by removing rough edges and imperfections from machined components to help ensure they meet quality standards.

• Wash parts using industrial equipment to clean and prepare them for additional processing or assembly.

• Safely load and unload parts and materials in and out of CNC machines.

• Assist machinists as needed to keep production moving efficiently.

• Maintain all quality and safety standards.

• Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.

• Support other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.

• Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in machine tool technology, CNC operations, manufacturing, or aerospace technology.

• Previous hands on shop, production, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

• Comfortable safely handling parts and working around industrial equipment.

Additional Information

• No prior experience is required. On the job training will be provided.
