Private Home Care – Ada *One Client location
Position: Full Time - Home Health Aide (CNA, MA, HHA)
Compensation: $19-21/hr

Schedule:
- Tuesday: 8a-4p
- Wednesday: 8a-4p
- Thursday: 8a-4pm
- Friday: 8a-4p
- Option to add in every other weekend Saturday/Sunday: 8a-4p
Position Summary: As a Home Health Aide, you’ll provide compassionate support that enhances your clients’ daily lives and helps them maintain comfort and independence at home. Through personal care, mobility assistance, and meaningful companionship, you’ll create a safe and nurturing environment where every individual feels valued and cared for. Your thoughtful attention and kindness will make a lasting difference.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support mobility and transfers, including use of assistive devices
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Take and record basic vital signs, such as temperature or blood pressure (if trained)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, etc.) to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications Required:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Certification: Current and valid certification or registration as required by the State of Michigan:
- Michigan CNA certification through an approved state program, or
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program, or
- Home Health Aide training and certification per Michigan Home Care Organization guidelines.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct personal care or clinical support in a home care, long-term care, assisted living, outpatient, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to provide hands-on patient care in the home environment. Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and assisting patients with mobility. The role involves safely lifting, positioning, and transferring patients between bed, chair, and other locations, as well as providing support in the restroom and during other activities of daily living. Employees must use proper body mechanics and safety techniques at all times, and may be required to operate medical equipment. Visual and auditory acuity is necessary for patient assessment and communication. In addition to hands-on patient care, the below physical requirements must be met:
- Ability to communicate verbally
- Fully functional vision is required (prescription lenses or contacts are acceptable)
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50+ pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate a computer and other standard office or clinical tools
- Reliable transportation for occasional travel. The employee will not be responsible for transporting a client
- Changing business conditions may trigger changes to physical requirement
