Are you a dedicated and experienced nurse with a passion for leadership and making a difference? Join our team at the Pinkenba Immigration Detention Centre as a Clinical Team Leader and contribute to the health and well-being of those in our care.
As a Clinical Team Leader you will lead and manage the delivery of Primary Health Services to ensure detainees receive high quality services according to need and practices in a way that acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs and rights of people in detention.
Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
- Lead with Purpose - Use your clinical expertise to guide the delivery of safe, high-quality care in a complex and secure environment, with a strong focus on assessing and managing risk to detainees, staff, and the organisation.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance - Oversee timely health assessments, care plans, referrals, and medication access, ensuring seamless care and accurate documentation.
- Be a Mentor & Educator - Provide support and share your specialist knowledge through training, supervision, and ongoing professional development for clinical team members.
- Drive Continuous Improvement - Lead service innovation by designing and implementing quality improvement initiatives that make a real impact.
- Support Better Outcomes - Participate in data collection and evaluation processes that contribute to service improvement.
Let's talk about you!
- Have at least five (5) years of clinical experience with non-Telehealth-only patient treatment as a Registered Nurse in an operational setting that provides care for patients with health needs.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of primary health service delivery in complex settings, with the ability to apply relevant legislation, policies, and standards to ensure compliance.
Desirable
- Experience working within a detention or correctional setting.
