- Provide comprehensive, person-centred mental health care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment in collaboration with detainees and the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote culturally sensitive, safe, and respectful care that upholds the dignity, rights, and individual needs of people in detention.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of mental health services, including participating in policy development, quality initiatives, and performance reviews to enhance clinical outcomes for detainees.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring coordinated, multidisciplinary care and maintaining high standards of professional conduct to support Healthcare Australia’s values and reputation.
Let's talk about you!
You will be an AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration) with either a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in mental health (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health.
OR
You will be an AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration) with either a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a Mental Health Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification.
