The Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior IT Specialist with security experience to elevate our operational excellence and security posture. This high-visibility, cross-functional role extends beyond traditional IT support. You will be instrumental in:
- Optimizing Critical Systems: Drive efficiency in key platforms like Rippling, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Dialpad, Atlassian Jira Service Management, and Slack, directly supporting our revenue-generating teams.
- Enhancing Employee Productivity: Provide white-glove technical support and optimize tools to create a seamless, secure work environment.
We're looking for a proactive problem-solver with a security-first mindset, deep expertise in macOS administration, and hands-on experience with cloud-based enterprise tools. Your passion for the Apple ecosystem and commitment to operational security will be key to our continued success.
This role is a remote opportunity - expectation is for this role to work during core business hours of 8am-5pm CST.
What You'll Do
- Revenue Team Systems Support: Act as the technical partner for Sales and Customer Success, optimizing Salesforce, and Dialpad for pipeline generation and customer success.
- Systems Administration & IT Operations: Own the full lifecycle of company devices (macOS focus), manage core platforms (Rippling, Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, etc), and drive automation for scalability.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Build documentation, deploy Jira automations, and recommend tools to enhance productivity and mitigate risk.
- Employee Experience & Support: Deliver exceptional support, lead training, and partner with People Operations for seamless device provisioning.
- Security, Compliance & SOC 2 Readiness: Assist with security initiatives, helping to manage SOC 2 technical controls, and maintain compliance platforms like Vanta.
Who You Are
- 4+ years in IT administration within fast-paced startup or SaaS environments with deep expertise in macOS fleet management.
- Proficient in Rippling or similar HRIS (device inventory, identity management).
- Experience working with Salesforce (troubleshooting, user permissions, integrations).
- Mastery of Google Workspace, Jira Service Management, Slack, and Dialpad.
- Thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and capable of autonomous project management.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Solutions-oriented with a focus on automation and simplification.
- Preferably experience with SOC 2 audits or similar compliance frameworks, with familiarity with Vanta or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Apple Certified Support Professional or other Apple-related certifications.
- CISA, CISM, and CRISC certifications.
- Google Workspace Administrator.
- Experience working with endpoint security tools in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with automation tools for device management.
- Background supporting fintech, SaaS, or highly regulated industries.

Location
This role will be located in NYC along with the rest of the technical Hearth team, the CEO, and other key roles in the business. Hearth believes in the energy, connection, and serendipity of in-person/hybrid work culture (3+ days/week) for builders who are committed to building innovative software and making a significant positive impact in the world.
Compensation
The base compensation range for this role is between $85,000-$90,000. There is also an On Target Earnings component to this role, the range is between $6,000-$10,000 annually.
