We are on a journey to become Europe’s leading, tech-enabled residential real estate company. As our IT Director Global IT Service, your position is a key component of the IT & Digital team, providing leadership in daily IT operations, support, and oversight of country-specific IT systems and cyber security. You will actively contribute to Global Digital Management, ensuring effective delivery of world class IT services and support across all countries across Heimstaden Bostad and Group.
These services encompass projects, platforms, architecture, principles, cost management, risk assessment, and information security. As part of the team, you are responsible for implementing global initiatives and managing change for our global IT services.
This role will report to the Chief Digital Officer. This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen (possible to commute from e.g., Malmö), and requires occasional travel.
Your core responsibilities:
- Direct technology operations across Digital Workplace (M365), Cloud Data Centers (Azure), and IT Security.
- Formulate and implement IT policies and systems in support of CDO strategic initiatives.
- Oversee all facets of daily IT operations to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and transparency throughout systems and services.
- Oversee a monitoring and incident response framework and mandatory reporting to management and board of directors.
- Drive continuous optimisation of infrastructure performance by consistently measuring and improving processes, with a focus on superior end-user outcomes.
- Execute security policies, protocols, and projects that governs data access, device usage, and incident response protocols.
- Perform security reviews and evaluation of 3rd party tools and platforms.
- Implement tools and processes to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, proactively address vulnerabilities and support audits.
- Evaluate departmental business requirements to define IT service objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to IT managers and staff, fostering continuous professional development.
- Administer management of systems, networks, and security infrastructure to ensure maximum reliability.
- Oversee deployment of hardware and software, confirming system interoperability and compatibility.
- Safeguard sensitive data through comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Supervise application and hardware lifecycle management.
- Optimize IT budgets by conducting thorough cost analyses and evaluating potential security vulnerabilities.
- Establish and promote organizational IT guidelines and best practices.
- Define and enforce experience-driven SLAs that emphasize responsiveness, reliability, and proactive issue resolution.
To succeed in this role, you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in operational IT infrastructure and cloud services, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within professional services.
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Power Platform, Exchange Online, and Defender suite.
- Proven experience from IT Security responsibility such as CISO or other relevant roles.
- Experienced in leading people and building a great culture including.
- Project Management and specifically agile project methodologies.
- Experience with legal compliance requirements and risk-sensitive cloud deployments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills, including contract negotiations.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, with experience from IT consultancy environments considered a strong advantage
- Strong verbal and written business English; Scandinavian language skills are preferable.
