Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineering leaders to understand what a great candidate for that role looks like in each technical role (SDE-4, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer).
  • Evaluate candidate fitment by reviewing their past work, technical contributions, and problem-solving approaches.
  • Conduct structured technical conversations to pre-assess candidates before formal interviews.
  • Build and nurture long-term pipelines of deep-tech engineers in Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Data Infra.
  • Apply a systematic approach to target, network and engage with passive talent pools.
  • Deliver an engaging candidate experience and be the brand ambassador for Hevo in this community of users.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of technical recruiting experience with a focus on senior engineering roles.
  • Ability to understand engineering depth—you don’t need to code, but you should be able to evaluate whether a backend engineer has built for scale, or if a DevOps engineer has automated infra at complexity.
  • Track record of closing Staff/Principal-level hires at product or deep-tech companies.
  • Ability to assess candidates beyond resumes—by understanding their technical impact and role fit.
  • Excellent storytelling skills to articulate Hevo’s vision to top engineers.
  • Passion for technology and curiosity to dive into systems design, distributed infra, and cutting-edge data problems.
