Job Overview

The Global Microsoft Alliance Director is responsible for owning and expanding the strategic partnership with Microsoft at a global level. This role drives joint business development, co-sell initiatives, and solution innovation to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen market positioning, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. The position requires deep knowledge of Microsoft’s ecosystem and proven experience in managing complex alliances with hyperscalers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Partnership Leadership

  • Develop and execute a global alliance strategy aligned with corporate objectives and Microsoft’s priorities.
  • Define multi-year roadmap and quarterly objectives and key results for joint initiatives, including Azure, AI, and business applications.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and executive alignment meetings with Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities, goals, and relationships across Hitachi regions and companies.

2. Business Development & Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution

  • Identify new routes to market and create joint solutions leveraging Microsoft cloud and AI capabilities.
  • Drive Azure consumption, co-sell pipeline growth, and joint solution adoption.
  • Sustain Business Applications revenue and market position.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft’s Industry GTM teams and field sellers to expand joint sales opportunities.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Microsoft executives, Partner Development Managers (PDMs), and industry leaders.
  • Represent the organization at Microsoft events (Ignite, Inspire) and advisory councils.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for strategic alignment and execution.

4. Co-Sell Enablement and Field Execution

  • Enable internal sales and delivery teams on Microsoft programs, incentives, and GTM strategies.
  • Conduct regional enablement sessions, training, and workshops to foster collaboration.
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, including pipeline contribution, win rates, and joint success stories.

5. Programs, Funding, and Performance Management

  • Ensure compliance with Microsoft Partner Network requirements and maintain advanced specializations.
  • Understand the breadth of partner available funding from Microsoft and leverage the funding to full advantage.
  • Track KPIs such as partner-sourced revenue, attach rates, and incentive ROI.
  • Prepare executive briefings and performance dashboards for leadership
