Job Overview

Supply & Inventory Specialist

Howard is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply & Inventory Specialist to support our consumer retail and e-commerce clients. This role is responsible for inventory planning, stock optimization, order management, and supply coordination to ensure high product availability while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across warehouses and fulfillment centers
  • Track stock movements, sell-through rates, and replenishment cycles
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
  • Manage safety stock levels and demand variability

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and client teams on promotional planning
  • Adjust forecasts based on seasonality, campaigns, and new product launches
  • Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes

Supply Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PL partners
  • Track purchase orders from creation through delivery
  • Ensure timely replenishment to meet e-commerce SLAs
  • Manage lead times and mitigate supply chain disruptions

E-Commerce & Client Support

  • Monitor inventory performance across online marketplaces and DTC platforms
  • Support SKU setup, product lifecycle tracking, and replenishment planning
  • Work closely with e-commerce clients to maintain service levels
  • Analyze fulfillment performance and recommend process improvements

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate weekly and monthly inventory performance reports
  • Track KPIs including fill rate, inventory turnover, stockouts, and aging inventory
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions
  • Utilize ERP/WMS systems to extract and interpret data

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
  • 2–4+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or operations
  • Experience supporting consumer goods or e-commerce environments
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, forecasting, data analysis)
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • English Level B2 High

Preferred:

  • Experience working with 3PLs and online marketplaces (as Shopify)
  • Familiarity with demand planning software
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization models
  • APICS/CSCP certification (or equivalent)
