About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team as a dedicated resource for a new client in the F&B/Retail sector. Your primary goal will be to stabilize and manage the payroll process following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Execution: Stabilize, run, and manage the end-to-end payroll process for a dedicated client, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- SOP Compliance: Strictly follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while identifying opportunities for process improvement and documentation.
- System Management: Utilize payroll platforms (Paylocity, UKG, Gusto, or Paychex) to process adjustments, deductions, and tax filings.
- Data Integrity: Maintain high standards of data accuracy in the payroll system, performing regular audits and reconciliations.
- Ownership: Take full ownership of assigned tasks, from data entry to final reporting, ensuring all deadlines are met without constant supervision.
- Problem Solving: Adapt quickly to the client's specific needs and resolve payroll discrepancies or inquiries efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of US Payroll basics (taxation, overtime rules, deductions) is mandatory. This is a deal-breaker for the role.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with at least one major payroll system: Paylocity, UKG, Gusto, or Paychex.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the F&B (Food & Beverage) or Retail industries is highly preferred.
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing client requirements quickly.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Work Style: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high activity levels.
