Project Development Manager
Job Overview
Project Development Manager would be responsible for driving the development of PV and BESS projects from inception to execution. This role involves site identification, permitting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects progress efficiently. The position requires strategic planning, risk assessment, and collaboration with internal and external teams to meet development milestones. The role ensures that projects comply with regulatory, technical, and financial requirements while aligning with company objectives. By coordinating with authorities, stakeholders, and internal teams, the position plays a key role in securing permits, mitigating risks, and driving project success. The role also entails contributing to the company’s growth by identifying opportunities, optimizing project execution, and ensuring timely and cost-effective development of renewable energy assets.
Key Tasks
- Oversee the full development cycle of PV and BESS projects from initiation to construction readiness
- Secure necessary permits and approvals while ensuring adherence to local regulations
- Evaluate potential project locations
- Engage with authorities, landowners, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate project progress
- Ensure coordination of design deliverables and other project documentation between external stakeholders and internal teams
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize delays and financial exposure
- Ensure contracts, reports, and project documentation meet compliance and quality standards
- Develop work plans, monitor timelines, and ensure alignment with company objectives
- Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and key milestones to management
- Monitor regulatory changes to inform project strategies
- Support financial assessments and ensure cost-effective project development
- Responsible for project development related tasks as described above
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with different counterparties involved in project development process, including landowners, authorities and service providers
