Working Student - GIS (m/f/d)

The working student inside the GIS-team is supporting the sourcing, maintenance, and provision of geographical data required within BD Germany. The role also includes active involvement in identifying suitable areas for large-scale PV and BESS projects, obtaining landowner information, and creating maps for acquisition and contractual purposes. 

• Support GIS-based screenings for large-scale hybrid PV+BESS projects using QGIS, ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online
• Assist with sourcing, maintaining and preparing geographical data
• Support the ordering, processing and provision of landowner and parcel information
• Create and update maps for acquisition, planning and contractual purposes
• Help maintain GIS databases and structure project-related geodata
• Support the preparation of reliable and traceable map material
• Assist with online tools such as ArcGIS Online and the internal CRM system
• Support the GIS team in day-to-day tasks and further GIS-related activities
• Conduct research on publicly available geodata and support data requests from public authorities where required
• take part in assessing and deepening the implementation of AI features for GIS purposes
