The role

As a Frontend Tech Lead, you’ll be a hands-on technical leader in a cross-functional product team building the Ideals Board. You will lead by example in engineering craftsmanship: owning frontend architecture decisions, raising delivery quality, and helping the team move faster with confidence.

What you will do

  • Own frontend technical direction for a key area of Ideals Board: architecture, patterns, and long-term maintainability

  • Make the design system work properly in real product development: ensure consistency, improve developer experience, and close gaps between design and implementation

  • Lead redesigns of key product parts end-to-end (technical + UX): help shape solutions with Product Design and deliver robust implementations

  • Raise quality ownership across the team: testing strategy, code review culture, definition of done, and proactive refactoring where it matters

  • Drive technical design: write and review technical solutions, identify risks early, and align the team on implementation approaches

  • Be a strong hands-on contributor: deliver features, tackle complex tasks, debug production issues, and improve performance and reliability

  • Mentor and multiply: coach frontend engineers, share best practices, and grow overall team expertise and collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product managers, Designers, Backend, QA, and DevOps Engineers to ensure smooth delivery and a great user experience

What you bring

  • 6+ years of strong hands-on experience building production web applications with React + TypeScript

  • Proven ability to lead technical design: decomposition, trade-offs, and aligning stakeholders on a clear approach

  • Experience building or scaling design systems/component libraries, and enforcing consistency in a real product

  • Strong engineering fundamentals: maintainability, performance, accessibility, security-minded UI development, and pragmatic quality practices

  • Confidence with modern frontend tooling and delivery: testing (unit/integration/e2e), CI/CD, observability, and effective debugging

  • Leadership through influence: mentoring, constructive feedback, driving alignment, and creating clarity in ambiguous areas

  • A quality mindset: you care about outcomes, user impact, and leaving systems better than you found them

  • English at the B2 level

Nice to have

  • Experience with B2B SaaS products and high-trust environments (security/compliance-sensitive workflows)

  • Familiarity with a broader stack and ecosystem (e.g., AWS/Kubernetes, backend integration patterns, API design collaboration)

  • Experience running frontend initiatives that span multiple teams (shared components, platform improvements, standards)
